Roberta and I are helping lead a team to C.

We need to your help to go to an amazing country (for safety reasons I will only use C as its name). We need about $2,100 to pay for the airfare, visas, and other expenses. We are going to be helping teach english on college campuses around Shanghai. While teaching english and building relationship with the C people we want to share the Good News with them and be Jesus with skin on to them.

Sandy Relief

As you may have heard, a huge hurricane came through the East Coast. The hurricane caused a lot of damage with in the New York area. We had very little damage done to the YWAM Campus and everyone here was safe from injury. We took the opportunity to help in the relief effort.

Canadian Vacation

Roberta and I got the opportunity over thanksgiving to go visit some friends in Ottawa, ON, Canada! We spent 5 amazing days of relaxing, playing with their kids, and eating tasty Thanksgiving food! God blessed us with an amazing family of friends that housed us and took good care of us while there. It was much needed rest.

Once again THANK YOU for being our friends.

to everyone who helped with 

our wedding!

Dear friends,

We want to continually say thank you to everyone of you that helped Roberta and me in the beginning of our life together.  We are forever grateful to each and every one of you.  We still think back on the day and the events surrounding it and we cannot believe how it actually happened.  We are so incredibly blessed to have amazing family and friends.  You are very dear to our hearts and we can only look back on the month of August in 2012 and see how amazingly blessed we are by all of YOU.  We say again, very humbly: Thank YOU.

Daily we are completely humbled by how God is working and using us.

Our wedding day was the best day of our lives.  On August 11th at around noon, Roberta and I were married!  Following the wedding we took some more pictures and headed to our reception at an amazing restaurant.  From California we flew to Washington for a reception and time to hang out with my(John's) family.  From Washington, we found a honeymoon in Mexico and spent a couple days there.  We are now in back in New York and living in East Northport in an apartment just 15 minutes from YWAM Metro NY.  God has blessed us with great landlords who are a lot of fun and we enjoy hanging out with each other and getting to know them.

Now that the festivities are all complete, we are in full swing of the 2012 Discipleship Training School (DTS).  We have a group of 18 amazing students.  God has blessed us with some very strong mature students who are ready to join Him in His work.  This DTS is studying who they are in God and, most importantly, who God is.  They are learning how to discover God more and how to make Him known to the people around them.  Roberta and I are so blessed to be a part of their journey in this season.  This January and February, we will be going to China and help lead the students!  We are excited to visit an amazing and beautiful country.  Please pray for us as we go and visit another country.

That's right! Roberta and I will be going to China with the rest of the DTS. We will help lead the team in China for several weeks.  We will be doing things from teaching english on college campuses and volunteering with local organizations.

God has been doing awesome things in our lives. He provided incredible landlords and a beautiful apartment for our first home together.  He has given us the privilege of knowing and leading great students.  He is guiding Roberta and I in new ways within our marriage.  We are very excited to see what He has planned for us.  Please pray for our students.  Pray for us, as staff of this DTS. Pray for us in getting the funds together for the trip to China.  We are still also raising our funds for life together in ministry. Marriage Bound!

Hey Friends,

Roberta and I are marriage bound! We have less than 16 more days until the Big day!!

First off, will you please pray for us. We will be starting this great adventure of marriage while working as full time missionaries. We are so excited for this new season in our lives. We have seen God moving in so many different ways in our lives in the last several months. It has been a fun and challenging journey so far and we cannot wait to see where God takes us from here.

How You Can Help

"Consider Being a Part of Our Team"

Dear Friends and Family,

We are getting married!  We are so excited to see what God is going to do.  Along with getting married comes my responsibility to build up our financial support base as a new family.  We need you, our family and friends, to help us share the gospel with the people around the world and in our own community here on Long Island.  

"What are you asking?" may be what you are thinking.  We are looking for monthly supporters to give financially monthly, yearly, one time, or when ever.  Our goal is $1500/month.  We are currently have an income of about $800/month, but at times this is not consistent.  You can help with only $10 monthly to $100 or more monthly.  We are not asking for you to give what you do not have, we want you to give an amount that you feel God is asking you to give.  One way we can reach our goal and exceed it, is if we get 30 people to give $30 monthly!

Ohio and Beyond!

Successful trip to OHIO

Recently, Roberta and I had taken a trip to Ohio to work on a community center in the process of being renovated in a lower income neighborhood of Canton, OH. It is an old middle school that was bought by a ministry called ChildReach for a dollar. Check out where we were and investing in. We participated for 2 weeks in preparing for the Community Outreach of Love.  We spent a lot of time helping clean, organize, paint, and water a brand new community garden. We saw God do amazing things and were so excited to be apart of what is happening there!

Wedding Prep

We are in a two month whirlwind with wedding preparations! Roberta will be flying to California, July 21st, and we feel like the days are flying by. Stress levels are rising, but we are trusting that God has a perfect plan for our special day. A lot of the major things have been solidified but we still have some details to pull together. Roberta will tell you, planning a wedding 3,000 miles away is not an easy thing to do! She always jokes with me “ remind me never to get married again, it’s so much work!”

We need Wedding HELP!

There are 2 things we really need help with! We need to solidify the honeymoon and the rent for the apartment for where we will have our first home be in NY.

• Please be praying for us as we are being challenged with trusting God with the finances & provision of the apartment. 
• Pray for us as we are going through the process of picking the location of our honeymoon.  Our budget is around $2,000.  We want an all-inclusive beach resort somewhere in the Caribbean.  You can give directly to this through www.honeyfund.com.

Welcome To Our First Ever Online Newsletter!

That's right everyone! We are finally up and running with our online newsletter.  It has taken too long but I figure better late than never.

We want to, first off, say "THANK YOU!" for taking the time to read and even receive this letter, you are supporting us in hearing what we are doing, praying for us, and maybe even financially supporting us.  Again we want to say thank YOU because you are our friends and family, you support us in so many different ways.

We want to say welcome to those of you have not read about what we have been doing, but get ready, even if you have, as God takes on the ride of our lives.  Many things are coming in the next couple months that Roberta and I are so excited about.  Below you will find a couple quick explanations of what is coming.

Ohio and the C.O.O.L. Project

On May 24th, Roberta and I will drive with one or two other staff to Canton, OH where we will participate in, an amazing ministry, Community Outreach Of Love Project (C.O.O.L. Project).  While
there we will be working with one of our associate staff to make this day happen. The project happens in ONE DAY! So there is a ton of planning that goes into all of this. The Wedding!!! 

On August 11th at 11:00am, Roberta and I will be saying our "I do"s!  We will be getting married about 40 minutes East of San Francisco, CA.  Please pray for us as we begin our lives together.  God is so good and we have had the privilege of having Him bring us together. The Discipleship Training School

We already have about 10 students accepted to our 2012-2013 DTS! We have begun to prepare for this up coming school with much excitement.  God is been slowly growing our school to be very large so we are waiting in anticipation as to how full this school will be.  Please pray that God will direct us on how to customize this school to the students that are coming to this school.  Pray also for the right people to act on the Word of God and GO into all the World.
